Move Your Domain to Covisp
Before you begin
The most important part of the process of moving your domain is finding out who is currently in charge of your Domain Name Server (DNS) record. This is usually someone within your company, but may be your present web host company.
There are several ways to find out the details of your DNS:
- Go to a website that allows you to do a whois query, such as www.internic.net/whois.html.
- Use a command-line tool such as `whois` or `jwhois`. If you are using a Mac OS X system, Linux, or other unix based system, you can do a whois query from the commandline.
- Check with your IT person.
Once you have your DNS record, you will need to contact the company that is your registrar and update the DNS servers to point to Covisp's server. Those servers are:
- NS1.COVISP.NET
- NS2.COVISP.NET
If you are unable to change your DNS successfully, or you do not have anyone in your company who can do it, we will transfer the DNS for you, for a fee. Please drop us an email.
